CETA National Board of Testing (CNBT) The Controlled Environment Testing Association’s National Board of Testing (CNBT) is a credentialing program for professionals who certify controlled environment facilities. For years the profession requested CETA to develop a credentialing program for professionals working in our field of certification, specifically a credential that would be an objective representation of an individual's fundamental knowledge and skills in the area of testing controlled environments. CETA National Board of Testing Exams: Sterile Compounding Facilities The Registered Certification Professional – Sterile Compounding Facilities (RCP-SCF) credentialing program will ensure that the certificate holders possess the fundamental knowledge required to certify sterile compounding facilities per industry guidelines. Both multiple choice and written practical examinations for the RCP-SCF credential will be administered multiple times a year. The examination will test the certifier's competency in sterile compounding facility certification for compliance to applicable standards and guidelines, such as USP <797> and USP <800>. Fume Hoods The Registered Certification Professional – Fume Hoods (RCP-FH) credentialing program will ensure that the certificate holders possess the fundamental knowledge required to evaluate a fume hood’s performance according to ANSI/ASHRAE 110 and other industry guidelines. Cleanroom Testing The Registered Certification Professional – Cleanroom Testing (RCP-CT) credentialing program will ensure that the certificate holders possess the fundamental knowledge required to evaluate a controlled environment as functioning properly and within required industry standards and/or facility protocols. A successful candidate will be required to show an understanding of international standards and other regulatory guidelines; along with the ability to demonstrate the proper use of the equipment and procedures for evaluating the performance of controlled environments and document the results following cGMP documentation practices.
